P. Davidson of the County of Floyd and state of Kentucky of the one part and Elizabeth Hager of the County of Mercer and state of Virginia of the second part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to me in hand paid by the said Elizabeth Hager before the sealing of these presents the the(sic) receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold to the said Elizabeth Hager the following: Boundary of Sand tract lying and being on the right fork of Brush Creek Beginning at the dead Bush on the top of Stony ridge thence running to the Creek to the mouth of a hollow just below the land of said Elizabeth Hagers field thence running a west course to the top of the ridge to be the line to Joseph Davidson line thence running as said Davidsons line to the top of the stony ridge thence running east to the double hickory the place of beginning. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all its appurtenances unto the said Elizabeth Hager their heirs or assigns for the proper use and behoof. Elizabeth Hager for herself, heirs executors administrators this tract or parcel of land with all its appurtenances unto the said Elizabeth Hager do and will warrant and forever defend as heirs to or any person or persons claiming under them whatsoever to the said Elizabeth Hager and the heirs of her own body forever. In testimony I have thereunto set my hand and seal for myself my heirs to and all others above named. S. P. Davidson Virginia and Mercer County to wit: This day personally appeared before us Archibald Bailey and Symon Thompson Justices of the Peace in and for the County and Samuel P. Davidson a party to the assaid deed in our said County and acknowledged the same to be his act and and (sic) desired us to certify the same to the Clerk of the County Court of Mercer in order that the same may be recorded given under our hands and and (sic) seals this 4th day of May 1846.
