To all to whom these presents shall come--Greetings: Know Ye that in conformity with a survey made on the twenty ninth day of November, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Seven(?), by virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 2751 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto LEVI FARLEY, assignee of GIDEON FARLEY a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and ninety acres lying and being in the County of Mercer on the waters of New River, embracing the dwelling and (?) on which the said FARLEY now lives, and bounded as followeth, viz: Beginning at a white oak on the north side of the ridge. North of the wagon road and nearby adjoining land of DRURY FARLEY SR and near to a lying down white oak known as the Oak Log, and from thence running East 3 poles to a white oaks said to be on or near a line of said FARLEY’s survey and leaving the same North 89 degrees E 50 poles crossing the wagon road to five chestnut saplings growing from one root, South 88 degrees East 74 poles to two white oaks, North 10 East 48 poles to speckled oak and black oak sapling on the bank of the river hill, North 10 degrees West 24 poles to a chestnut, North 90 poles crossing the spring branch to speckled oak and white oak, North 4 degrees East 52 poles to a hickory in a point, South 12 degrees West 28 poles to ash sapling on the spring branch, North 14.30 degrees West 20 poles to a poplar and hickory about one chain below the head of the spring, South 56 degrees West 37 poles crossing the spring to a white oak and a chestnut South 83 poles to a red oak South 60 degrees West 18 poles to two white oaks, North 85.30 degrees West 90 poles to a black oak, South 20 degrees West 55 poles to a black oak and white oak on a hill side South 30 degrees East 22 poles to the beginning with its appurtenances. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said LEVI FARLEY and his heirs forever.
