Levi Farley Grant, 1851

Joseph Johnson Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia; To all to
whom these Presents shall come--Greetings: Know Ye, that in conformity with a
survey made on the twentieth day of November, One Thousand Eight Hundred and
Fifty One by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 19731 there is
granted by the said Commonwealth unto LEVI FARLEY a certain tract or parcel of
land containing one hundred acres lying in Mercer County on the wateres of the
Little Pipe Stem, and bounded as followeth, viz. Beginning at a white oak and
chestnut corner to a tract of 190 acres surveyed for said FARLEY and with
three lines thereof South 83 poles to a red oak South 60 degrees West 18
poles to 2 hickories North 5 West 94 poles to a stake South 69 degrees East 35
poles to a speckled oak corner to David Cook. Thence with one line North 58
degrees East 113 poles to 2 small white oaks South 34 degres East 56 poles to
the beginning with its appurtenances.

To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land, with its appurtenances,
to the said LEVI FARLEY and his heirs forever.

In witness whereof, the said Joseph Johnson Esquire, Governor of the
Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Lesser
Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond, on the first day of
January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Three and
of the Commonwealth the Seventy Seventh.
