To all to whom these presents shall come -- Greetings: Know ye that in conformity with a survey made on the twentieth day of October One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty One by virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 19,663 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto ANDREW FARLEY JR., a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres, lying in Mercer County on wateres of Tom’s Run and bounded as follows, viz. Beginning at a white oak near a spring, corner to a tract of 20 acres surveyed for GIDEON FARLEY and with two lines reversed South 9 degrees West 41 poles to a chestnut North 60 degrees West 46 poles to a stake, thence leaving South 13 poles to a large and small chestnut oak growing from one root South 37 degrees West 42 poles to two chestnuts and speckled oak in a brushy flat near the break of a hill South 88 degrees East 42 poles to two white oaks on the break of a hill North 54 degrees East 120 poles crossing a branch to two white oaks near a small spring, thence South 46 degrees West 144 poles to the beginning with its appurtenances. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenancs to the said ANDREW FARLEY JR. and his heirs forever. In witness whereof, the said Joseph Johnson Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond, on the first day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Two and of the Commonwealth the seventy eighth.
