   Mrs. Edna Laura Austin, 74, pioneer resident of Mercer County, died at
Bluefield Sanitarium yesterday evening.  She had been in ill health for two
months.  Mrs. Austin lived at 201 South Walker St., Princeton.
   Mrs. Austin was the daughter of Daniel and Amanda Ross Burgess, born in
Mercer County May 29, 1879.  She was married to Chester F. Austin in 1902. 
Her husband preceded her in death several years ago.
   Survivors are two sons, Dumont Austin of Princeton and Chester F. Austin of
Fort Worth, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Estell Shultz, of Atkins, Va., Mrs. Sam
Pennington of Princeton and Mrds. Emma Johnston of Jopa, Md.
   The body will remain at the Seaver Mortuary in Princeton pending funeral
arrangements.
