Mercer Co WV Archives -- Obituaries: COBURN, George Fred -- 1957 Contributed July 16, 2008 for use in USGenWeb Archives By: Fred Spradlin, fspradlin@earthlink.net ************************************************************************ Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Fri., Jan 11, 1957 George Fred Coburn, 42, a dispatcher for the Virginian Railway, died in Memorial Hospital in Princeton yesterday evening. He had suffered a heart attack on December 3 while deer hunting in Camp Creek Park Reserve. Born at Oakvale, December 8, 1914, he was the son of the late Hamner Jenkins Coburn and Cleo McKinney Coburn. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his widoe, the former Ruby Fleeman of Narrows, Va., one son, David, two daughters, Georgia Ann and Deborah, all at home, a brother, Lonnice Earl, Belmont, Calif. and a sister, Mrs. Warren Morris of narrows. He had lived in Princeton for the past 12 years.
