Obituary of Walter S. Cole, 1956 - Mercer Co. WV Bluefield Daily Telegraph October 1956 In Memory of Walter S. Cole Last rites for Walter S. Cole, 67 of Princeton will be held tomorrow at 2:PM from the First Baptist Church in Princeton with the Revs, Ben Cox, Quentin Hugett, and Dr. Edward Stubblefield conducting. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery. Born at Oakvale on May 29,1889, he was the son of the late Joseph David Cole and Elizabeth Ann Comer Cole. He was employed as machinist prior to his retirement, and was a member of the 100F and Red Men's Lodges. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Livia Adeline Akers of Shawsville, Va.; two sons, Harry E. Cole of Princeton; Harold R. Cole of Mullins; one daughter, Mrs Raymond Guard of Princeton; three brothers: Elmer, velty and Oscar Cole of Oakvale; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bauggess of Princeton, and Mrs Authur Brown of parkersburg. The body will be removed from Seaver Mortuary to the residence this afternoon where it will remain until 1:PM tomorrow, when it will be taken to the church for services. Members of the Odd Fellows Lodge No. 178 will act as pallbearers and the members of the Red Men's Lodge will be honorary pallbearers. Submitted by E.
