Bluefield Daily Telegraph 15 Oct 1949
	Ballard J. Hager, 86, well-known farmer, died at his home, Route 1, 
Bluefield, Friday morning.  He was a son of the late Greenville and Nancy 
Hager.  His wife, Mrs. Sarah Hager, and a son and daughter preceded him in 
death.
	Surviving are the following sons and daughters, R. F. Hager, W. L., 
Fred and John Hager and Mrs. O. D. Shrewsbury, Bluefield; and Mrs. Nellie 
Larue, Mrs Alice Calfee, and James and Howard Hager, of Princeton.  A sister, 
Mrs. Zella Coburn of Princeton, also survives.
	The funeral will be at the home today at 1 o'clock, with Mrs. M. Tibbs 
in charge and internment will be in the family cemetery.
