Obituary of Preston Glen Shannon, 1977 - Mercer Co. WV

Preston Glen Shannon , 19, of 3190 Skinner Mill Road, Augusta, died 
Saturday, December 10,1977 as result of automobile accident. 
He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia October 18,1958. He made his home 
in Augusta. He was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church where he had 
been baptized. He was employed by the Georgia Power Company. 
He is survived by his Mother, Eva Fay Shannon of Augusta, Ga., his 
Maternal Grandmother, Bertie 
Yost of Bluefield, W.Va. and very special Aunt, Shelby Jean S. Blevins of 
Princeton, W.Va. 
Funeral services will be conducted at Elloitt Sons Funeral Home on 
Telfair Street, Augusta, Ga. Monday December 12,1977 at 3:PM with Rev. Ken 
Hutchinson officiating. The remains will be conveyed to Craven-Shires 
Funeral Home, Bluewell, W.Va. where funeral services will again be 
conducted with the Rev.Douglas Williams officiating. Pallbearers will be 
Robert Shannon of North Augusta, S.C., David Shannon of Princeton, W.Va., 
Ray Shannon of Lynchburg,Va., Bobby Blevins of 
Princeton, W.Va., Jackson Blevins of Princeton, W.Va., Douglas Williams,Jr. 
of Princeton, W.Va. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park 
Cemetery in Bluewell, W.Va.
