J. Spradlin, 71, Bluefield-Princeton road, who died of pneumonia yesterday morning at 5:15 o'clock in St. Luke's hospital, will be conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Church of God on South street by the Rev. Mr. McGraw, assisted by Captain Baker of the Salvation Army. Interment will be in Monte Vista Park cemetery. Mr. Spradlin, who was born in Christiansburg, Va., is a retired N. & W. railroad employe. He was twice married. His first wife, Nancy Jane Miles, died in 1907. Mr. Spradlin is survived by his wife, formerly Melinda Caroline Morris, and the following children: Pride Spradlin, Mrs. S. H. Morris, and Roy A. of Bluefield; Corp. Ray Spradlin, Camp White, Oregon; Mrs. Arthur Webb, Princeton; Mrs. Raymond Farley, Baltimore, Md.; Mary, James, Charlotte, Charles, Thomas and Shirley, and also 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Flower bearers will be members of the Bible class of the Church of God.
