E. Webb Falls under Car He Was Attempting to Un- couple: Funeral Arrange- ments Not Complete ------- A. E. Webb, 33, 1711 Franklin street, this city, a brakeman for the Norfolk and Western railway, died yesterday morning at Bluefield Sanitarium as the result of injuries sustained earlier in the morning when he fell from a car he was attempting to uncouple on the scale track and was run over by the car. The accident occurred between 4 and 5 o'clock yesterday morning and Mr. Webb died at 9 o'clock at the sanitarium. He is survived by his wife the former Miss Hazel Spradlin, and the following children: Elizabeth Ann, Joyce and Martha. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Lelia Thompson; six brothers, L. K., J. A., R. S., all of Bluefield; W. W. of Camp Pickett, Va.; James F., U. S. army; and C. C. of Troy, Ohio; and three sisters, Mrs. C. R. Edmunds and Mrs. Harry Ratliff of Bluefield, and Mrds. Lous Jackson, of Baltimore, Md. Mr. Webb had been employed by the railroad for the past 18 months. Born at Lick Banch, W. Va., he was the son of the late R. A. Webb. He had been in Bluefield for the past 15 or 16 years. The body will be taken to the home on Franklin street this morning at 10 o'clock, where it will remain until the funeral hour. Arrangements ahd not been completed last night pending the arrival of relatives.
