Obituary of Mrs. Bertie V. Yost, 1990 - Mercer Co. WV Bluefield Daily Telegraph February 2,1990 Mrs. Bertie V. Yost, 77, of Route 1, Box 346, died Thursday, February 1, at her home following a long illness. Born October 30, 1912, at Durhing, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lula Niswander Moore. Mrs. Yost was a five year resident of Route 1, Princeton, was formerly of Bluefield, was retired from Princeton Community Hospital as a CNA, was self employed as a seamstress and was a member of the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband John D. Yost: a brother Ralph E. Moore; a sister Ethel Keene and one Grandson, Glen Shannon. Suvivors include two daughters, Fay Shannon of Augusta, Ga. and Shelby Blevins Leedom of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, David Shannon of Princeton, Ray Shannon of Lynchburg, Va. and Robert Shannon of Augusta, Ga.; five sisters, Etha Greenlee and Esther Joseph both of Akron, Ohio, Hazel Heinback of Bluefield, Naomi Elkkins of Greensboro, N.C. and Annie Osborne of Silver Springs, Fla. 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Services will be Saturday at 1 pm at the Cravens-Shire Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Revs. Boyd Osborne and Douglas Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Bluewell. Pallbearers will be Jackson and Bobby Blevins, Gary, Ricky, Lee and Eddie Shannon , Doug Williams,Jr. and Fred Church.
