Mrs. Minnie Dempsey Meade, 61, wife of Jackson Meade of Belo, died in a local 
hospital at 8:45 o’clock last night after an illness of one week.
	Mrs. Meade was a lifetime resident of Belo. Born Jan. 6, 1894, she was 
a daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn Adkins Dempsey. She was married to Mr. 
Dempsey at Belo in 1911.
	Funeral services were to be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Belo 
United Baptist Church with burial to follow in the White Cemetery at Belo. 
Hale Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 
	Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, William Henry Meade 
of Holden, and Ewell Meade of Kermit; six daughters, Mrs. Emma Vance, Mrs. 
Della Shepherd, Mrs. Ada Dillon, Mrs. Georgia Hannah and Mrs. Marie Smith, all 
of Kermit, and Gerlie Meade of Belo; three brothers, E.E. Dempsey, Belo 
merchant, Carl Dempsey of Belo and Clyde Dempsey of Cleveland, O.; five 
sisters, Mrs. Gerlie Hall of Belo, Mrs. Ada Kincaid of Holden, Mrs. Ida 
Maynard of Myrtle, Mrs. Easter Justice of Caney, and Mrs. Eva Simpson of 
Phoenix, Ariz., and 32 grandchildren.
