Patterson II (or Mayfield) Cemetery Monongalia Co., WV Directions: Located off Rt. 29 at Jakes Run. It is 5.6 miles from the intersection of Rt. 7 and Rt. 29 at Pentress. Turn left from Rt. 29 onto a dirt road and go 1.2 miles, (past the Eddy Chapel Cemetery),turn left, go .2 miles to a lane on the right. About .2 of a mile to the cemetery on the right. There are no stones there and no pines. All that was left of the cemetery when I was there September 3, 1992 was 4 fence posts. He died of congestive heart failure. His wife, Martha Leah, was the daughter of Minnie Higgins. She died of broncho-pneumonia. Her father was unknown. The infant was the grandchild of John and Martha. Albert and Mildred lost 4 children. More of them may be here.
