Worley Cemetery Monongalia Co., WV Directions: This cemetery is located at Blacksville. From the intersection of Rt. 7 and 218S at Blacksville, go .1 mile on Rt. 7W and turn right, going toward Blacksville #1 Portal. The cemetery is .5 mile ahead,on this road, on the hill to the left. Very close to the Greene County, Pa. line. John G. Lester was the son of Basil and Catharine Lester. Hannah Lester was the daughter of Eliam and Susanna Hoskinson. Haven't found her husbands name. Sarah A. Lester was the daughter of Basil and Catharine Lester. Brice Worley is said to have come from Philadelphia, Pa. about 1770, and to have been the first permanent settler in western Monongalia County. David Worley was the son of Brice and Martha, and married Margaret Cathers, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Ingram Cathers, on December 27, 1799. John I. Worley was the son of David and Margaret Worley. After his wife, Maria died, he married Delilah Gordon. She is buried in the Fairall Cemetery in Whiteley Twp. Greene Co. Pa. with her second husband, Harvey Higgins. Alpheus Brown Worley was the son of John I. and Maria Worley. When Brice Worley first came to this area, his brother, Nathan, came with him.
