FILE=Land Patent for Michael Kore(Core) of Monongalia County Virginia State Library Grants R, pp. 659-61 (Page 659, bottom) in margin: Michael Kore 313 acres Monongalia Patrick Henry Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia To all to whom this presents shall come Greetings Know ye all 660 that by virtue of part of a certificate in right of settlement given by the commissioners for adjusting the titles to unpatented lands in the District of Monon- galia Yohogania and in consideration of the ancient composition of one pound fifteen shil- lings sterling paid by Michael Kore into the Treasury of this Commonwealth there is grant- ed by the said Commonwealth unto the said Michael Kore assignee of George Kore a certain tract or parcel of Land Containing three hundred thirteen acres by survey bearing date the twenty fifth day of May one thousand seven hundred Eighty four lying and being in the County of Monongalia on Dunkers Creek including his settlement made thereon in the year one Thousand seven hundred and Seventy two now bounded as followeth To Wit, Begin- ning at a sugar tree on the Bank of Dunkers Creek, and running thence up the said creek with the Meanders thereof three hundred and Eighty two Poles to a Gum 661 thence South twenty six degrees East fifty eight poles to a sugar tree South twenty nine degrees and a half West two hundred and fifty four poles crossing a Drain to two white oaks, South sixty degrees and a half East Eighty one poles crossing a Drain to a Black oak north Eighty two degrees East one hundred and thirty poles crossing Husts Run to a hickory and a cherry tree North fifteen Degrees East one hundred and ninety five Poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Michael Kore and his Heirs for Ever In Witness where of the said Patrick Henry Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said Com monwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the Thirty first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five and of the Commonwealth the Tenth.
