Library Of Virginia Digital Collections Land Office Patents and Grants Grants No. 6 (1786): p. 441 (margin notation: Rudolph Snider, 369 acres, Monongalia) Edmund Randolph Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to all to whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know ye that by Virtue of a Certificate in right of Settlement given by the Commissioners for adjusting the titles to unpatented lands in the District of Monongalia, Yohogania and Ohio & in Consideration of the Ancient Composition of two pounds sterling paid by Rudolph Snider into the Treasury of this Commonwealth there is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto the said Rudolph Snider assignee of Anthony Hornback a certain tract or parcel of land containing three hundred and sixty-nine acres by Survey bearing date the - lying and being in the County of Monongalia on both side of Husts Run a drain of Dunkard Creek and bounded as followeth to wit: Beginning at a white oak thence South thirteen degrees West three hundred twenty one poles and five Perches to a Black oak on the South east side of a hill South thirty one degrees West one hundred and thirty poles to a white oak South twenty three Degrees East crossing the forks of Husts Run one hundred and forty poles to a white oak North Six degrees East one hundred and thirty three poles to a [word marked out--perhaps “poplar”] p. 442 to a white oak North thirty four degrees East ninety six poles to a white oak on the Bank of a Steep Hollow north three Degrees West ninety three poles to a white oak and Walnutt North thirty degrees East sixty nine poles to a poplar North five degrees East ninety eight poles to a White oak North fifty eight Degrees East fifty seven poles to a large white oak North twenty five degrees East forty forty [sic] five poles to a white oak North fifty degrees West Thirty eight poles to a white oak South Twenty two degrees West ninety poles to a black oak on the South of a Steep hill South forty degrees West Crossing said run Eighty Six poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances; to have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said to the said [sic] Rudolph Snider and his Heirs forever. Randolph ______________________________________________________________________ Library Of Virginia Digital Collections Land Office Patents and Grants Grants No.7 (1786-1787): p. 727 (margin notation: Rudolph Snider, 184 Acres, Monongalia; =Ex’d) Edmund Randolph Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to all to whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know Ye that by Virtue of part of a Certificate in right of Settlement given by the Commissioners for adjusting the Titles to unpatented Lands in the District of Monongalia, Yohogania & Ohio and in consideration of the Ancient Composition of one pound Sterling paid by p. 728 Rudolph Snider into the Treasury of this Commonwealth there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto the said Rudolph Snider assignee of Anthony Hornback a certain tract or parcel of Land containing one hundred and eighty four acres by Survey bearing date the twenty fourth Day of May one thousand seven hundred and eighty five Lying and being in the County of Monongalia on both sides of Dolls run a branch of Dunkard Creek adjoining Lands of the said Snider and bounded as followeth (to wit) Beginning at a Black Oak Corner to said Snider thence North forty eight degrees West one hundred and fifty poles to a white Oak North Seventeen degrees West Sixty six poles & five Links to a white Oak North fifty nine degrees West forty six poles to a white Oak North twenty eight degrees West crossing a Small Drain Seventy three poles to a white Oak North Sixty five degrees West fifty four poles to a white Oak North fourteen degrees West fifty six poles to a white Oak on the West side of a hill thence South Seventy five degrees West crossing Dolls run fifty eight poles to a Hickory thence South fourteen degrees p. 729 East crossing the Pedlar run one hundred and twenty one poles to a white Oak North sixty eight degrees East forty eight poles to a white Oak South thirty degrees East forty eight: 5 poles, to a white Oak South sixty nine degrees East twenty four poles to a maple South twenty nine degrees East two hundred and fourteen poles to a Large white oak on a hill side South forty one degrees East eighty six poles to a white Oak corner to said Snider thence with his Line North twenty five degrees East eighty seven poles crossing the said Dolls run to the Beginning With its Appurtenances; to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land, With its Appurtenances, to the [sic] Rudolph Snider and his Heirs for ever.
