Mrs. Mary VanGilder, widow of the late John O. VanGilder died at her home on Stewart Street at an early hour this morning. Mrs. VanGilder was 75 years of age on the 21st of November 1907. She had suffered from bronchial trouble for some time and this is supposed to have caused her death. She was alone when the end came and it was not known that she was ill until half an hour or more after her death, when her daughter discovered the lifeless body. The funeral services will be held at the home of Stewart Street Sunday afternoon at one o’clock and the interment will be at Mount Union. Rev. C. K. Jenness, pastor of the Methodist church of which the deceased was a member will conduct the services. Mrs. VanGilder was a daughter of Joseph Hill, and was born and reared in the home where her death occurred. Her husband died about four years ago, and she was the last of a large family of brothers and sisters. The following children survive her. Mrs. William Boyd, Mrs. Harvey Williams, Mrs. Charles Pell, Mrs. Theodore Farrar, Misses Fanny and Lena VanGilder, Jacob VanGilder, all of Morgantown and Joseph VanGilder, of Uniontown, Pa.
