WV John Woods - 12 acres - Monroe Co WV: Thomas M Randolph, Esquire, Governor, of the commonwealth of Virginia, To All to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know Ye That in conformity with a survey made on the 10th day of July 1821 by virtue of a Land Office Treasury warrant, No 66 __ issued the ?23rd May 1819 , there is granted by the said commonwealth , unto John Woods, a certain tract or parcel of Land , containing twelve acres , situate in the County of Monroe, on new river ridge joining his own land, and James _____?Sweaneys and bounded as followeth to wit: Beginning at a black oak and gum corner to his own land and with same, south twenty five degrees west, thirty our poles to a white oak, and leaving same south sixty one degrees west, thirty nine poles to a black oak and pine, north thirty nine degrees east, forty five poles to two white oaks, north fifty eight degrees east, sixteen poles to a white oak and gum on a line of James ?____Turinny and with same south forty six degrees west, sixteen poles to the beginning. To have and To hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtences, to the said John Woods, and his heirs forever. In Witness whereof the said Thomas M Randolph, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set hand and caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the first day of October in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty two , and of the Commonwealth the forty seventh. - Th.M RANDOLPH John Woods - 10 ½ acres - Monroe Co WV: Thomas M Randolph, Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia: To all To whom these presents shall come Greeting: know ye That in conformity with a survey made on the 24th day of November 1821, by virtue of a Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 665_ issued the 28th May 1819 , there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto John Woods, a certain tract or parcel of Land, containing Ten and half acres , situate in the County of Monroe, on the waters of Dropping Sink (?Sick) Creek , joining the lands of James FOSTER and said Wood's own land and bounded as followeth , to Wit: Beginning at a ____ (?Locust) stake where a dead white oak has fallen down the old corner of Wood's and with his line, south twenty one degrees west, fifty seven poles to a willow bush in Wood's garden, south thirty eight degrees east thirty eight poles to a sugar tree, north twenty degrees west, twenty six poles to a white oak corner to James Foster, and thence with his line the same course thirty five poles to the Beginning. To Have and To hold the said tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtences , to the said John Woods and his heirs forever. John Woods - 265 acres - Monroe Co WV: James (?Pheasants) ?__ Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia: To all To whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know ye, that in Conformity with a survey made on the 5th day of March 1822 by virtue of two Land Office Treasury Warrants to Wit: 250 acres by N68g5 issued the 10th day of May 1820 and 15 acres by N6654 issued the 18th day Of May 1819 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto JOHN WOODS a certain tract or parcel of land containing Two hundred and sixty five acres situate in the County of Monroe, on ____ _____ branch of Dropping Sick Creek joining to the lands of George ?Wickline and , John McClure and his own land and bounded as followeth to Wit: Beginning at a white oak in the fork of ?______ ?river _____ _______ poles __ _ white oak corner to George ?Wickline thence with his line. ?15 ½ ___ poles to two white oaks 17_ ____ poles to two white oaks and ____ _____ ______ from the old line ?N5W thence ______ (numbers) ______ ______ by a ?branch corner to John McClure thence with his line ________ (numbers) to two chestnut oaks above ______ thence leaving McClure's line N53W140 poles ?crossing a branch and two pines and a ridge N60E434 poles to two white oaks and a maple ?pointers to a Rock the corner by a branch on John Wood's line (formerly ?McCannerys) and thence with the same _____ To have and To Hold the said Tract or Parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said John Woods and his heirs forever.
