Please note the date discrepancy between the bond and the other documents] KNOW all men by these presents, that we George Spangler & Hugh Caperton are held and firmly bound unto His Excellency Thomas Randolph Esquire, Governor of Virginia, and his successors, for the use of the Commonwealth, in the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed and dated this 26th day of January 1821 in the 46th year of the Commonwealth.
