Virginia Thomas Boggess will 1832 ( To my knowledge this name is also known as Boggs and Boggass) Book 3 p. 68 In the name of god Amen. I Thomas Boggess Sr. of the county of Monroe and State of Virginia now old and infirm but of perfect mind and memory do on theis 16th day of august in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Twenty seven make this my last will and Testament in the manner following To Wit- first I after the payment of any Just debts which I may owe at the time of my death I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Boggess the house I now live in with the priviledges of the out houses & c. that I now enjoy together with the beding and household furnature belonging to us two god milch cows, six sheep and one half of the tracts of land on which I live as her support during her natural life should she survive me. Secondly It is my will and desire that the Land on which I now live after my death and the death of my wife shall be divided between my son Abraham and otheir of my children herein after to be named in the following manner to wit Beginning at JOHN ROBINSON’s line and running a southeast course through the plantation past a Locust (showed by me on this day to Isaac HUTCHISON and which locust stands between rocks in the field between the House and BEEMER sto the line between CABELL s heirs and one on the side of the little mountain. Abraham to have the part on which we now live and in addition I will to my said son Abraham all my farming utentials and tolls. (tools) Thirdly, It is my will that the uper end of plantation next to Beemers shall be sold and from the proceeeds of the sale that my son SETH BOGGESS shall have the sum of thirty dollars and that the Balance of said money shall be equally divided between the said SETH BOGGESS and my sons ENOCH BOGGESS, ELISHA BOGGESS and NIMROD BOGGESS. Fourthly, I will and bequeath to my daughters Mary Ann BERRY , Pheba PINNELL and Judoth FIFE the proceeds of the sale of my personal property and after my wifes death to be equally divided between them. Except that part which I have herein before disposed of and the sum of one dollar which I will to my daughter MARTHA MORGAN I having heretofore given her full part of my Estate. Lastly, I do hereby consititute and appoint my son Enoch Boggess and my friend BENJAMIN BERRY Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other or former wills by me in any wise made or published. In Testamony whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year first above written. P.S. It is further my will and which I did on this said 16th day of August 1827 quit to insert above that in case any one or more of my children or legatees shall after my death come in or undertake to claim any account against my Estate that such of them as mya do so shall forfeit to the other hiers out of what I may have willed them the full amount of such claim that is to say this shall be so much of the part willed by me to such Legatee sold as will pay the amount of such account.
