Names sons; Samuel, Chrisitan, Jesse, William; daughters; Mary, Frances, Jane, Elizabeth. (Copied as written) In the Name of God Amen I Edward Cornwill of the county of Monroe State of Virginia farmer being in perfect health mind and memory thanks be to God for it knowing that it is appointed for all men to Die do make and ordain this my last will and Testament. I do hereby these resents give and bequeath to my Four daughters: Nanekt Mary Cornwill, Frances Cornwill, Jean Cornwill, Elisabeth Corwill a Sertain track or persels of Lands containing Seven hundred and forty five acors lying and joining the lands of Mr. James and William Stevenson, Mr. Thomas Andrew Burnes, Mr. Young, Mr. Alford, Mr. Nickels, Mr. Lewis, Mr. Gats for quanity to be as Eakly divided as it will alow in quollyty and quantity at my and their mother deseas. Two hundred acors to be in the old place we now live on one hundred acors to be my wifes her lifetime the other hundred to be theirs to (W Thomas U?) fals here when they draw to be therin Seport till their mothrs Dieeas and then the two hundred to be possed Freely. The other Five hundred acors to be at the place called the Shop at the Forks Road to be from Nickels Lowes and gate and Joining the old place for quanity the other two places the one called the Wrigts Field and Hikkenbottom old CaBben and to Extend on sd Stevenson and Thomas for quaninty the other place Called the White oak flat on Road to Ewning to Exgend on Alford and Young for quanity these Two places being the ballence of a warrant Andrew Burnes got part of to be divided as near quanity of acors as will admits of sd Lands freely to be posesed by them their Lifetime and then to their heirs and the ballence of the Lands belonging to me ajoining thers and the Little mountains and blacks holler I do give and bequeath to my Son Samuel Cristain Cornwill to be possesed by him. N B My sons Jese and William having each got a tract of Land Deeded from Me to them which I consider their Share and Do not allow them any further Share of my propyty. PROVEN AND ORDERED TO BE RECORDED -RECORDED AND EXAMINED BOOK NO. 5, PAGE 307. MONROE CO. (W.) VA. In the name of God Amen -- I Mary Cornwall of Monroe County Va. do make this my last will and Testament That after my just debts and funeral expenses are paid I will and bequeath unto Anderson C. Vass and Allen C. Vas my plantation of three hundred and eighty five acres to be divided equally according to quantity and quality Anderson to have the side of the plantation where I now live and Allen to have the other side joining I (J) Wisemans land I will also unto them my cattle and house hold and kitchen furniture to be divided equally between them in value and if there is any grain at my decease derived from the rent of my land I desire that the above should have it. It is to be plainly understood that Anderson and Allen C. Vass is to have full privilege of the above name land during life but shall not be at liberty to trade or sell said land but at thare death if over twenty one shall be at liberty to will it to whom they choose and if either die under age the living one shall inherit his estate I also desire that they have full possession of the above named estate at my death and to be thare own guardains and executors. I will unto William Cornwall five dollars I will unto Jane Vass five dollars I will unto Robert and Elizabeth McDowel five dollars I will unto Enoch and William Boggs five dollars I desire that Anderson and Allen C.
