Will of Nathan Milbourn, c1808 - Monroe Co. WV In the name of God being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank God, and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with. I give and bequeath the same in manner following that is to say: First, I desire that all the ____________ part of my estate be immediately sold after my decease and out of the money arising therefrom, all my just debts and funeral expenses. I give my wife Sally Milbourn all my estate both real and personal for and during the term of her natural life and after her death I give the same to my children herein mentioned. Thirdly, I give my son Jacob Milbourn all the land from where my line crosses the creek betwixt my house and James Ellison and up the creek to the upper end of my meadow and with the meadow fence till the corner next to Harvey’s and from thence to a _________ fence betwixt me and my son Isaac Milbourn and from thence with said fence to the woods and continuing the same course to my line next to Campbell’s and from thence with said line to the creek next to Ellison’s. Fourthly, I give my son Nathan and Isaac Milbourn all the remainder of my lands to be divided as they may think proper. Fifthly, I give my daughters Rachel and Polly Milbourn and Sally Shumate all the remainder of my estate to be equally divided betwixt them, counting what Sally Shumate has already received, and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my wife Sally Milbourn, executors of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all other or former wills or Testaments by me heretofore made.
