Will of Robert Pine, 1849 - Monroe Co. WV I, Robert Pine of the County of Monroe and State of Virginia do make this my last Will & Testament. 1st. I desire that my wife, Nancy Pine shall have a bed & clothes sufficient to keep her warm, bedstead, until her death, I wish it then to be sold and the proceeds to be applied to the defraying of her burial expenses. 2nd. I wish all my property to be sold by my executor herein after named at my death and all my debts and funeral expenses to be paid there from. 3rd. The residue, I wish to be put at interest. I wish my wife Nancy to have the benefit of said interest to be paid unto her semi annually until her death when I wish the principal to be applied to the payment of her funeral expenses. 4th. I do appoint John H. McNutt my executor to this my last Will & I do hereby declare this to be my true last Will & Testament revoking all former wills by me heretofore made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal August 23rd. 1849 Signed sealed & acknowledged by Robert Pine in our presence as his last Will & Testament who have signed our names to the same as witnesses at his request.
