Stephouse 1832 John floyd, Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia: To all to whom these presents shall come Greetings: Know YE,That in conformity with a survey made on the fifteenth day of November, 1830 by Virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant No.5795 issued November 22nd, 1816 There is granted by the Commonwealth, unto Abraham Brooks a certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing fifty acres situate in Nicholas County, on Sawrel Creek and bounded as followeth;to wit: Beginning at two lynns, on the south side of said creek, where the road takes the mountain N68 degrees W72 poles crossing the creek to a stake N24 1/2 degrees W34 poles down the creek to a birch N29 1/2 degrees E20 poles down the same to a spruce pine and birch N44 degrees E 14 poles to a beech in an island N 83 degrees E 70 poles up a steep hill to a beech S16 degrees E76 poles crossing the creek to a small sugar tree N79 degrees W 30 poles to the beginning. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to the said Abraham Brooks and his heirs forever.
