He was in his seventy-fifth year and for the past several years has been custodian at Richwood High School. Happy and jolly, he was known far and near for his pleasant disposition and sunny outlook on life. For many years he was employed in the tray facgtory at the Wallace Corporation plant. He was a native of Braxton, son of the late Frank and Nancy Brown Gillespie. Services were conducted from the First Methodist Church by the Reverend Charles W. Ambreose, Jr. Burial was made in Mountain View Memorial Park. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ella Gillespie; three daughters, Mrs. Velma Johnson of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Ollien Hutt of Richwood and Mrs. Helen Dilley of South Charaleston; two brothers, Joe and Till both of Ajo, AZ, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
