Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and thirty nine dollars and twenty five cents to him in hand paid, by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged: Hath bargained and sold and doth by these presents bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever a piece of land adjoining the lands of the said party of the second part; and being a part of the east side of the farm of the party of the first part lying on Castleman's Run, Ohio County, State of West Virginia and bounded as follows: Commencing at a Red oak on Castleman's Run, and being the corner of James McMurry, James Cheek and Isaac Cox, and running thence N. 89° W. 18 p. to a stone pile, thence S. 61° W. 41-5 p. to a Red oak; thence S. 25° E. 15-5 p. to a Stone in the line of the lands owned by the heirs of Isaac Hill,; thence N. 56 1/2° E. 44 p. to a stake; thence N. 40° E. 12-6 p. to a sycamore; thence N. 781/2° E. 9-2 p. to beginning corner and containing three acres and 158 p. more or less. Together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging, to have and to hold to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever.
