These listings are the property of the Ohio County GenWeb Project. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by Elizabeth Burns Burns @asu.edu Feb. 27, 1998 Beck Deed, Ohio County WV Indenture, Book 1, page 100, Brooke County West Virginia This Indenture made this 7th day of May in the Year of our lord one thousand seven hundred eighty seven between John Beck and Rebecca, his wife of the one part and Samuel Beck of the other part witnesseth that the said John Beck and Rebecca his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds to them in hand paid do give grant bargain and Sell to the said Samuel Beck one parcel of land in the County of Ohio containing four hundred acres and bounded as followeth: Beginning at a walnut corner to ed John Beck and with his line North twenty seven degrees west, eighty six poles to a sugar tree thence north thirtynine degrees west and one hundred and fortyfore poles to a line corner to Andrew Fouts and with his lines north twentyfive degrees east eighty six poles to an elm thence north thirty eight degrees, east one hundred and two poles to a hickory corner is Andrew Ramsy and with his line north seventy six degrees east one hundred and five poles to a Shugartree cornor to said John Beck and with his line south nineteen degrees east three hundred and seventy five poles to a shurgartree in aline of Samuel Grayhouse and will his line south thirty three degrees west forty fore poles to a Road Oak Corner to John Caldwell and with his line fifty six degrees West one hundred and sixteen poles to the beginning together with all its apportainances to said Samuel Beck and his Heirs to the sole use and behalf of the said Samuel Beck and his Heirs and the said John Beck and Rebecca his wife do covenant with Samuel Beck and his Heirs that the said John Beck and Rebecca his wife and their heirs the said parcel of land with its apportaintions to this said Samuel Beck and their heirs against all persons whatsoever will forever warrant and defend in witness the said John Beck and Rebecca his wife have hearunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals the day and year above written Allen Metcalf John Beck Charles Wells Rebecca Beck Stephen John Francis The above Indenture was aknowledged in Court at May 1787 and ordered to be recorded.
