DITTMAR This deed made this 1st day of January A.D. 1870 between Mary Richards widow of James Richards, J. M. Richards, Joseph Richardson and Sarah Richardson his wife, Mary A. Connelly, Elizabeth and William D. Richards heirs at law and devices of said James deceased, parties of the first part and Anna E. Dittmar party of the second part, witnesseth: That in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and twenty five dollars paid to the parties of the first part by the party of the second part receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the parties of the first part do grant with general warranty unto the party of the second part her heirs and assigns forever, the following real estate, to wit, The East half of Lo no. one hundred and eighty one (181) situate on the south side of John Street, between Fifth (5th) and Sixth (6th) Streets in the City of Wheeling, Ohio County, State of Virginia. Being the same property of which the said James Richards dec'd, seized as will appear from the deed of his sister Mary C. Richards recorded in Deed Book no. 42 page 452 of the Record of Deeds in the Recorders office of Ohio County, State of West Virginia. Richards State of Ohio, Monroe County I, W. Martin a Justice of the Peace in and for said county in the township of Lee do hereby certify that Mary Richards, Joseph Richardson and Sarah Richardson his wife, Mary A. Connelly and Elizabeth Richards, whose names are signed to the above writing dated January 1, 1870 have this day acknowledged the same before me in my said County to be their act and deed, and the said Sarah Richardson being at the same time examined by me privily and apart from her said husband, and having the said writing fully explained to her by me she the said Sarah Richardson then acknowledged the said writing to be her act and deed and declared that she had willingly executed the same and is still satisfied therewith.
