Virginia Regiment Ohio County In pursuance of the Direction of the worshipfull Court of Ohio County: To Examine the wounds of Charles Robinson. Who by undoubted Testimony appears to have been a soldier in the service of this State and now residing in this County and that he received the wounds in the service & I do find a wound in his right arm near the shoulder. Still running which I adjudge to be part of the bone remaining loose. That he well deserves the assistance to others under the like predicament. Given under my hand this 10th day of May 1787. Signed: ???? John Shore???, Surg. Charles was 50 years old when the above examination occured. I do with the advice of Council hereby certify that Charles Robinson, late a private in the 13th Virginia Regiment and whose pay was at the rate of 24 pounds per annum appears to have been disabled in such a manner while in the service of the United States by a wound to his right arm near the shoulder as to entitle him to the sum of ten pounds yearly; which allowance is accordingly made him, to commence from the first day of January 1787.
