Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ********************************************************************** ********************************************************************** The records for this work have been submitted by Joyce Stoddard, E-mail address: , January 12, 1999. ********************************************************************** ********************************************************************** In the name of God Amen: I George Roberts of Ohio County and State of Virginia being Sick of Body but of sound Disposing Mind memory and understanding and Knowing the Certainty of Death and uncertainty of the time there of and Being disirous to settle all my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this wourld when it shall pleas God to Call me, do make this my last will and testament in form and maner following that is to say first and principally I commit my soul to God and by body to the Earth to be buried at the discression of my Executors herein after mentioned and as to such worldly Goods as it has pleased God to bless me with I Give and Bestow in the following manner I give to my son William eleven dollars and eighty three cents a ballance which he is indebted to me also half my wearing apparel I give to my Daughters Ann Sarah Mary and Margret twenty dollars Each and in addition to the above I leave to my Daughter Mary a Grey mare two good Cows and Six sheep and also a loom and all the tackling there to belonging also my bed and bed stead I leave to my son Thomas all my land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him and his heirs forever for which he shall pay to my four Daughters Ann Sarah Marah and Margret ten dollars Each to be come payable in four years after he the said Thomas gets full possession of the aforesaid land I also Give to my son Thomas all my farming utensils of every discription also half of my Carpenter tools and the other of said tools to my son William I also Give to my son Thom as all the residue of my moveable property of Every discription not heretofore mentioned. I also Nominate and appoint my son Thom as my Whole and sole executor of this my last will and Testament Revoking and annulling all other will by me heretofore name Ratifying and Confirming this and none other in testimony wherof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixteen.
