Obituary of Harriet B. Ray

Death's Harvest
On Sunday, Feb. 21st, 1904, at the home of her son, 
Henry S. Ray, on Second Creek, Monroe County, Mrs. 
Harriet B. Ray, late of Pocahontas county, in her 
83rd year.  She had been a member of the Methodist 
church for a number of years, and died in full assurance 
of a home in heaven.  Her husband died 33 years ago, 
leaving her with ten children, four daughters and six 
sons, all of whom are now married except Miss Malinda. 
It was the privilege of Miss Malinda, Mrs. Maryetta 
Reynolds and Henry to be at the bedside of their mother 
during her last illness.  Granddma Ray was a loving and 
devoted mother and friend.  Her body was laid to rest in 
Mt. Pleasant cemetery on Feb. 23rd, in the presence of a 
large number of friends.
