The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Will Book #3, pages 258-259: In the name of God Amen, I Thomas Wooddell of the county of Pocahontas and in the state if Virginia, being sick x* weak in body, but of sound mind and disposing memory (for which I thank God) and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life, and being desirous? to dispose of all such worldly estate as it has pleased God to blef (bless?) me with, - I give and bequeath the same in manner following, that is to say- 1st--I recommend my soul to God who gave it to me and my body to be decently buried in a Christian like manner. 2nd--I wish all my just debts to be paid and my wife or my daughter Jane to pay any and all such debts out of the property left them?.- 3rd--I will x* bequeath to my wife, Mary, one Home, Four cows, Thirteen head sheep, all my Bees (?), house hold and kitchen furniture, One Loom, One side saddle, Plantation urensils with the entire privilage of my Dwelling house x* my other (neeepany???) buildings, with the Lot around the house, and the garden and Orchard to be entirely at her disposal during her lifetime, and at her death I wish my daughter Jane or her heirs to have all the above named property as her or their own? 4th--I give and bequeath to my son Joseph's heirs, and my daughter Jane x* her heirs all my lands to be divided as follows, To Wit; The dividing line to commence on the West side of said land, on a White Oak, to run(?) nearly on East Course until it strikes the line on the East side of said land to a White pine, my name will be found on the tree herein specified, My son Joseph's heirs to have the upper and my daughter Jane x* her heirs to have the lower end which embraces my Dwelling house W. on condetein (condition?) that my daughter Jane x* her heirs pay to my son John or his heirs One hundred dollars in the manner x* form following, to wit; Fifteen Dollars Yearly until the said $100, is paid to him or his heirs and that my son Joseph's heirs pay to my wife Mary Two Dollars x* fifty cents per year so long as she may live. Lastly, I consteteste(?) and appoint Wm. J WODDELL Executor of this my last will x* testament revokinig all others.
