Born April 20, 1935, at Sullivan, she was the daughter of the late Robert Smith and Rhoda Blevins Smith. Mrs. Acord was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Acord, in 1993. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Orval Acord; two daughters, Linda Acord and Patricia Pritchard and her husband, Robert; two sons, Robert Acord and his wife, Patricia, and Michael Acord and his wife, Sallianne; three sisters, Geraldine Gosney, Anna Mae Malone, and Carol Zarycki; a brother, Harry Vaughn Smith; grandchildren, OJ, Sheri, Rianna, Chrystal, Jessica, Abbey, Dustin and Taylor. Born June 5, 1944, at Covel, he was the son of the late Eugene and Evelyn Johnson Bentley. Mr. Bentley was retired from National Guard with 20 years of service, was a Vietnam Conflict Army veteran, and a member of the New Jerusalem Holiness Church. He was a graduate of Stratton High School and worked in New York as a supervisor for Litton Inc. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy "Puddin" Bolkman; and an aunt, Beatrice Davis. Colleen L. Blevins CLAYTON ­ Colleen L. Blevins, 69, died Sunday, April 25, 1999, in a Fairlea medical center following a long illness. Born March 1, 1930, at Beeson, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clay and Effie Blevins Lyle. Mrs. Blevins was a homemaker and a member of the Alderson Church of God, Alderson, where she served as church clerk for 16 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen O. Blevins; and two brothers, Aubrey and Kirby Lyle.
