Born March 9, 1948, in Wichita, Kan., she was the daughter of Harry M. Saddler of Wichita and the late Ethel Saddler. Mrs. Martin was a controller/CPA for the RT Rogers Oil Co. in Hinton. Survivors include her husband, Gordon Martin; a son, Reason W. Martin of Beaver; and a brother, Vernon Saddler of Wichita. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today. Born Feb. 22, 1927, at Lego, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Goldie Mae Akers. Mrs. Meador was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Odd. She was preceded in death by her son, Ron-ald Meador. Survivors include three sons, Ricky, Donald and Randall Meador, all at home; four sisters, Ruby Watkins of Ghent, Delores Aleuv of Long Beach, Fla., Mildred Price of Ohio and Jewell Shrewsbury of Ghent; and three grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring Chapel, with the Rev. Charlie Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Jinny Cole Cemetery at Odd. Born Dec. 3, 1941, at Dott, she was the daughter of Kathlyn Shrewsbury Monk of Lewisburg and the late Ernest Monk. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her mother, Kathlyn Shrewsbury Monk of Lewisburg, formerly of Princeton; two aunts, Velma Barbarie of Princeton and Vera Cabell of Beckley. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends and family attending the services are asked to meet at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home by 12:45 p.m. The Rev. Born June 5, 1922, in Hosterman, he was the son of the late John Wesley Ray and Chloe Susan Moore. He was the last surviving member of his family. Mr. Ray was a former coal miner at EACC Harris No. 1 and a section foreman for 19 years. He was a US Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Jean Ray. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mona Lee Riggleman Ray of Fairdale; two sons, Marion W. Ray of Valdese, N.C., and Donald L. Ray and his wife, Janet, of Grant Falls, N.C.; two daughters, Patsy L. Woods of Fairdale and Lisa L. Peeples and husband, John, of Tazewell, Va.; and five grandchildren, Jon Wesley Ray of Valdese, N.C., Sara Marie Ray of Millers Creek, N.C., Thomas R. Ray of Grant Falls, N.C., Stephanie Stover of Clear Creek, and John Peeples Jr. of Tazewell, Va. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cowger United Meth-odist Church with the Revs. Richard Crickard and Lehman Channell officiating. Burial will follow at Conrad Family Cemetery in Monterville. Born March 10, 1916, at Corliss, he was the son of the late John and Effie Fox Sevy. He had lived at Big Bend for more than 30 years and was retired from C&O Railroad and a retired timberman. Mr. Sevy was preceded in death by five sisters, Mazie Sanford, Dorothy Hanshew, Nova Ashley, Truma Armstrong and Julia Douglas; a half sister, Mary Ann Wooldridge; six brothers, Snowden Sevy, Waymen Sevy, Burton Sevy, Ervin Sevy, Alphia Sevy and Noel Sevy. He was the last surviving member of his family. Survivors include his wife, Cammie Hiser Sevy; a daughter, Joan Carleton of Syracuse, N.Y.; a son, Noah John Sevy Jr. of Big Bend; and a grandson, Charles ³Chuck² Albert Carleton. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wallace and Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with Evangelist Randy Matheny officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Corliss.
