Arbogast, 54, formerly of Oak Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, in a Bluefield hospital following a short illness. Born Nov. 12, 1945, at Oak Hill, he was the son of the late Donald and Lafalda Kincaid Arbogast. Mr. Arbogast was a member of the First Brethren Church of Oak Hill, and was employed by the Tazewell County, Va., School System as a bus driver and also employed by the city of Bluefield, W.Va. Survivors include his wife, Vona Duncan Arbogast; a daughter, Jennifer Arbogast of Bluefield, Va.; and two sisters, Deborah Arbogast of Ashland, Ohio, and Karen Bishop of Slemp, Ky. Begil PIPESTEM - Viola Williams Begil, 87, died late Sunday evening, Feb. 27, 2000, at Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley. Born Feb. 1, 1913, at Pettry, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Lola Conner Basham. Mrs. Begil was a lifelong resident of the area and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and homemaker. She was a member of the Cooks Chapel Baptist Church, Pipestem. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Williams; her second husband, Manuel Begil; and a son, Eddie Dean Williams. Survivors include two daughters, Greta O. Johnston of Athens and Mary Lee Lilly and her husband, Arnold, of Lewisburg, Tenn.; two sisters, Eula Beckett and her husband, Earl, of Rich Creek, Va., and Juanita Maynard of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Deborah May and husband, William, Valerie Thompson and husband, Wayne, Steven Johnston, David Lilly and wife, Gisele, Mitchell Lilly and wife, Deborah, Kenneth Lilly and wife, Tina, and Elisabeth Choate and husband, Terry; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Virgil Collins Sr., on June 15, 1997; a grandson, Joshua Moots; and a brother. Born Sept. 25, 1929, at Dorothy, he was the son of the late Lester Arthur and Lora Marie Likens Crawford. Mr. Crawford served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a corporal during the Korean conflict, having received two Purple Hearts. He retired in 1982 from Armco as a maintenance-superintendent with 30 yeas of service. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Wade; a brother, Gene Crawford; and a nephew, Rex Stover. Mr. Evans was a retired supervisor for Perry and Hylton Coal Co., was associated with the Maynor Freewill Baptist Church and was a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Feazelle Evans; a daughter, Susie Evans; four brothers, Jimmy, Roger, Larry and Jerry Evans; and a sister, Marie Shepard. Hatfield, 77, died 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born Nov. 22, 1922, at Herbertstown, he was the son of the late Jesse and Nicciti Les-ter Hatfield. Mr. Hatfield was a retired coal miner, member of the UMWA and World War II U.S. Army veteran. He attended the Covenant Church of God, Crab Orchard, and was of the Pentecostal faith. He had made his home at Jumping Branch since 1975, having previously resided in Wyoming and Mingo counties. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard, Henry and Luther Hatfield; and three sisters, Effie McCoy, Etta Barnes, and Louise Steffey. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Vonnie Browning Hatfield; a son, Gregory Hatfield and wife, Anice, of Ballard; a daughter, Rhonda Thomas and husband, Howard, of Bean Station, Tenn.; two grandsons, Geoffrey Hatfield of Lashmeet and Joshua Hatfield of Ballard; and four great-grandchildren. Born in 1916, in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Pauline Hutter. Mrs. Kinsey moved with her family to New York City as a pre-teen. She attended public school, then business school prior to working and getting married in 1940. She lived and worked in the Washington, D.C., area until her retirement to Margate, Fla., where she was an active community member for 18 years before her move to West Virginia. Mrs. Kinsey was a busy homemaker and devoted wife and mother who will be missed by many friends and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Kinsey, Jan. 6, 2000, and a sister, Ann Roseman. Survivors include two daughters, Gail and her husband, Scott Thompson, of Beckley, and Susan Kinsey of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a grandson, Andrew Noyes of Beckley and Washington, D.C.; three brothers, Irving Hutter and his wife, Minnie, of Brooklyn, N.Y., Harry Hutter and his wife, Freida, of Silver Spring, Md., and Phil Hutter and his wife, Carol, of Long Island, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Osborne was a farmer and breeder of Registered Percheron horses, and a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served with the U.S. Marines, being recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a lifetime member of the DAV of Hinton and member of the Calvary Baptist Church at Lewisburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Chad Osborne, in 1973; and a sister, Judy Sanger, in 1989. Other survivors include his wife, Libby McCraw Osborne; a son, Tim Osborne of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Lori Massebeau and her husband, Mike, of Burnell, Fla., and Debbi Hylton and her husband, Clinton, of Sinks Grove; three brothers, Ronnie Osborne of Sinks Grove, Danny Osborne of Edgewater, Fla., and Rickey Osborne of Kentucky; and a grandson, Austin Massebeau of Burnell, Fla.
