Register Herald Obituaries for July 31, 1999 Kermit O. Boley RAINELLE- Kermit O. "K.O." Boley, 89, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a short illness. Born April 17, 1910 in Russellville, he was the son of the late George W. and Viola V. Haynes Boley. Mr. Boley graduated from Bluefield Business College, and went on to become a well known business man in Rainelle. He was a Chevrolet/Oldsmobile Dealer from 1942 until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Boley served as a member of the board of directors of the First State Bank and Trust in Rainelle from 1973 until his retirement from the board in 1997. He was also a member of the Rainelle Lions Club and the Rainelle United Methodist Church and was active in various community organizations. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jane "Peggy" King Boley, on March 5, 1991. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Waugh of Baltimore, two sons, Robert Boley of Ocala, Fla., and James Boley of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, E.R. Boley of Rainelle and Vernon Boley of Russellville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Rainelle United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Thomas Ray Bostick MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - Thomas Ray Bostick, 72, died Thursday, July 29, 1999, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. Born Dec. 31, 1926, in Sprague, he was the son of the late Herman and Mattie Pittman Bostick. Mr. Bostick was retired from Chattanooga Glass of Mount Vernon since 1985. He was vice president of the American Association of Retired Persons, Knox County, Chapter 2310. He was also a member of the Mount Vernon Numismatic Society. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jean Martin Bostick; a son, Dave "Toni" Bostick of Danville; a daughter, Kathy Mark Peterson of Garland, Texas; three grandchildren, Jason and Heath Bostick of Danville and Amy Peterson of Garland, Texas; two brothers, Melvin Bostick of Grafton, Ohio, and Marvin Bostick of Sprague; and a sister, Betty Williams of Grafton, Ohio. Joseph Todd Caulk LEXINGTON, S.C. - Joseph Todd Caulk, 17, died Thursday, July 29, 1999. Born in Columbia, he was the beloved son of Robert Glen and Janet Johnson Caulk of Lexington, S.C. Mr. Caulk was employed by Piggy Park. He was a 1999 graduate of Lexington High School, and he was involved with the service learning program, where he worked with the Guidance Department in many ways at Red Bank Elementary School. He was also a member of the Pineview Baptist Church. Other survivors include three brothers, Glen Paul and his wife Carol Caulk of West Columbia, James Wesley Haygood of Lexington and Michael Shane Caulk of Raleigh, N.C.; his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Betty Johnson of West Columbia; his paternal grandmother, Mary Langford, of Bluefield, W.Va.; his aunts and uncles, Jeanean and Michael Steele, Rhonda and Richard Derrick, Sid and Shelia Langford, Jessie Finer, David Langford and Lizzie Hollman; and his seven cousins. Ms. Gunter was a housekeeper for the late Ralph and Leona Canaday. She was preceded in death by a niece, Ann L. Gunter Worley. She was a resident of Coal City for 32 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Arch Waters; and a sister, Reba Wilmoth.
