Born Aug. 26, 1935, in Summers County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. W.M. and Grace Ellison Wills. Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Survivors include her husband, Clifford Bennett of Shady Spring; two brothers, Clarence Wills of Madams Creek, and Ray Wills of Bellepont; four sisters, Mable Fox of Hinton, Wanda Johnson of Oak Hill, Virginia Dare Wills of Oak Hill, and Lavonna Pauley of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews. Bowling LEWISBURG - George A. Bowling, 96, died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at his home. Born July 8, 1902, in Lewisburg, and was the son of the late George W. and Sarah Brewster Bowling. Mr. Bowling was a 35 year resident of Lewisburg and was a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church. He received a bachelor of science degree from West Virginia University and a master of science degree from Michigan State University. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle Lycan Bowling on May 7, 1985. Survivors include two sons, George W. Bowling of Chesterfield, Mo., and Gordon M. Bowling of New York City, N.Y.; a sister, Hester Handley of Griffin, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Maria and Brenda, both of New York City, N.Y. Marion Ray Calloway OWENSBORO, Ky. - Marion Ray Calloway, 59, died Friday, June 4, 1999, in the Owensboro Mercy Health System. Born July 29, 1939, in Daviess County, Ky., he was the son of Ruby Briley Calloway of Owensboro, and the late William H. Calloway. Mr. Calloway was employed as district supervisor for Sun Oil Company and as a deputy sheriff in Columbus, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division, from 1958 to 1962. He was a member of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila. Other survivors include his wife of 32 years, Overda Birchfield Calloway; a daughter, Cathy Calloway of Booneville, Ind.; four brothers, Jesse Calloway of Columbus, Ohio, Bobby Calloway of Lexington, Ky., and Johnny Calloway and Charles Calloway, both of Owensboro; wo sisters, Carolyn Purcell and Betty Jane Jewell, both of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Carl Cook; three sons, Carl Edward, Albert Eugene, and Elvin Lee Cook; a great-grandson, Jeremy Stook. Survivors include a daughter, Emalene C. Born May 7, 1910, in Bernie, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan Egnoe Adkins. Mrs. Hooton was a devoted housewife and mother, a charter member of the Assembly of God Church, Sundial and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette E. Hooton Sr.; a daughter, Dorcas McKnight; a sister; and three brothers. Survivors include three daughters, Eloise Atkins of Beckley, Betty George of Kingwood, Texas, and Arbutus Hudnall of Frametown; three sons, James Hooton of Whitesville, Joe Hooton of Smithfield, Va., and Everette E. Miss Wills was a retired employee of the Celanese Corporation in Narrows, Va., with 37 years of service. She was a member of the D.A.R. Peters Mountain Chapter 4-061-WV of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Arline Ballard and Betty Jo Dunn; and a brother, Opie Wills. Survivors include two sisters, Mabel "Snook" Isola and her husband, Carmen, of Peterstown, and Patricia Copeland of Greenville; and 12 nieces and nephews.
