Hall HINTON ­ Eulenia Lillian Hall, 89, of 1504 Temple St., died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, in a Nimitz care home following a long illness. Born Oct. 17, 1909, in Union, she was the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus and Elizabeth Dunsmore Compton. Mrs. Hall was an accomplished seamstress and attended Riverview Chapel Church, Hinton. She lived most of her life in Hinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. "Jimmy" Hall, on June 4, 1994; two brothers, Howard and Frank Compton; and two sisters, Beatrice Burruss and Margie Farley. Survivors include two daughters, Frances Corker and her husband, C.C. Corker Jr., of Hinton and Mildred Perry of Coldwater, Mich.; three grandchildren, Patty Flegal, Christine Corker and George Demetrius Apostolon; three great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jonathan Brandon and Dawn Smith; and a great-great-granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Smith. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, Hinton, with Harry Pilkington and George Demetrius Apostolon officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens, Hinton. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral parlors. McDaniel Icie Isabel Daniels McDaniel, 75, of Tolley Drive, Beckley, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999, at her home following a long illness. Born Oct. 28, 1923, in Oceana, she was the daughter of Zadie Linville Daniels of Glen Daniel and the late Rev. Tolbert Dnaiels. Mrs. McDaniel spent her childhood in Boone County. She moved to Bolt in 1970 and had been a resident of Tolley Drive since 1980. She was a member of Fairdale Freewill Baptist Church and in her spare time enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Corey and Jeremiah McDaniel. Other survivors include her husband of 47 years, Glen R. McDaniel; a son, Jerry W. McDaniel and Sandra of Beckley; a daughter, Sherry J. "Cookie" Worley and her husband, Phyllip, of Bolt; stepchildren, Bobby McDaniel of Estes, Colo., David McDaniel of Pine Bluff, N.C., and Nancy Ireland of Dover, Del.; eight grandchildren; a sister, Brookie Hart of Glen Daniel; and a brother, Junior Daniels and his wife, Sheila, of Glen Daniel. Arrangements by Melton Mortuary, Beckley. Virgus Morgan LONG BRANCH ­ Virgus Morgan, 34, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999, in a logging accident at Coal Mountain. Born Jan. 30, 1965, in Iaeger, he was the son of Grady and Arbutis Morgan of Long Branch. Mr. Morgan was a truck driver for the logging industry and was a member of Apostolic House of Faith, Long Branch. He was preceded in death by a brother, Earmon E. Morgan. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Toler Morgan; his stepmother, Brenda Morgan of Long Branch; two sons, Cory and Alexander Blake Morgan, both at home; a brother, Christopher Morgan of Oceana; two sisters, Sharon Coffey of Pineville and Jolena Morgan of Long Branch; and two stepbrothers, Jonathan Haynes of Brenton and Jason Haynes of Detroit. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Apostolic House of Faith, Long Branch, with the Revs. Gary Toler and Nolan Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Milty-Morgan Cemetery, Josh Fork Hollow, Long Branch. Friends may call 5 p.m. today to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Beulah Jennings Riffe Beulah Pearl Jennings Riffe, 86, of North Kanawha Street, Beckley, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born April 5, 1913, in White Top, Va., she was the daughter of the late Colonel and Elzina Lewis Jennings. Mrs. Riffe spent her childhood at Miller Hollow (now Dry Hill Road), was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. She had been a resident of North Kanawha Street since 1986, having previously lived on Harper Road for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayward Tracy Riffe, in August 1994; five brothers, Malcolm, John, Arthur, Lowery and Theodore; and four sisters, Ada, Beatrice, Donna and Belle. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Janet) Farley and Mrs. Jim (Barbara) Pack, both of Beckley; two sons, Dane Riffe and his wife, Janet, of Jumping Branch and Glen Riffe and his wife, Shelia, of Naranja, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Blanche Bailey of Beckley. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Melton Mortuary Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Michael King officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Beckley.
