Obituary For Marshall Bailey, 1936 16 Sept. 1936 - Beckley Newspaper -- Former Resident Dies In Virginia -- Marshall Bailey Succumbs To Heart Attack At Hoges Store, Va. -- Marshall Bailey, 75, a native and former resident of Raleigh county died suddenly yesterday morning at his home in Hoges Store, Va. His death was attributed to a heart ailment. Bailey was born in Raleigh county August 25, 1861 and lived in this section all his life until about five years ago when he moved to Virginia. He formerly resided on Harper road where he owned a farm. Survivors are two brothers, John Bailey, of Hinton; Paris Bailey, Prosperity; four sons and daughters, H. C. Bailey, Beckley; P. C. Bailey, Huntington; Mrs. Ora Wilson, Beckley; and Mrs. T. W. Edwards, of Beckley; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at his residence at Hoges Store, Va., Thursday morning at eleven o'clock by the Rev. Mr. Huffman, of Pembroke, Va. Burial will be in the Hoges Store cemetery.
