Verna Vest Bennett - Shady Spring High School graduation picture. This picture 
was taken in the late 1920s at the White Oak Mountain, W.Va., home of her 
parents Leonard and Stella Vest. 

Additional Comments:
Verna Veatrice Vest (06 Jul 1908/27 Jan 1980) was the oldest daughter of 
Leonard Haliburton Vest and wife Emma Stella Gadd of White Oak Mountain, 
Raleigh County, W.Va. She married Fred Bennett (09 Feb 1910/ Dec 1972) of 
Abraham on 26 Nov 1931. She was a graduate of Shady Spring High School in 
Raleigh County and Concord College (now Concord University) in Athens, Mercer 
County, W.Va. Mrs. Bennett spent most of her teaching career in Richmond 
District, Raleigh County.
