I had formerly posted His "Request for Bounty Land". He served in the War of 1812. According to Census records, he was born 1792, birthplace and parents unknown at this time. He married Sarah Ann Lanham in 1814, she was at the time it appears, according to her Death Certificate, 15 or 16 yrs old. Born 1798-99. This is not positive however, as her age in various census records is alway showing a different age. We have not identified her parents as well, though she claims to have been born in Mass. Sarah describes in her Application for "Widows Pension" as to William, as follows: rather tall, slender, with brown hair and blue eyes. Many of their children moved to Madison County Ohio. William passed away soon after his Application for Bounty Land. Their children are as follows: 1. Samuel, born 1815....(no proof of his birth other than many connections) Married Jane Wyatt.
