Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia To all to whom these presents shall come greeting, know ye that in conformity with a survey made on the fith day of June 1820 by virtue of a land office treasury warrant number 6618 issued the 20th March 1819 there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto George Bickle a certain tract or parcel of land, contqaining seventy acres situate in the County of Nicholas on Holly Creek, a branch of Elk river and bounded as followeth to wit. Beginning at a maple and black gum on the bank of the creek near the line of Jacob Fisher, North eighty one degrees East one hundred poles to a whiet Oak and black Oak on a steep hillside near the creek, North forty two degrees West one hundred and thirty six poles crossing the creek to a poplar and dogwood on the bank of the creek South side, North fourteen degrees West twenty eight degrees West twenty six poles to two beeches on the banks of the creek, South sixty seven degrees West forty four poles up the side of the ridge to a black walnut and sugar tree and thence South twenty one degrees East one hundred and seventy five poles to the beginning, to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said George Bickle and his heirs forever. In witness whereof the said Thomas M. Randolph Esq. Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the legal seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on the twenty second day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one and of the Commonwealth the forty sixth.
