Know Ye, That by virtu (sic) of a Land office Treasury warrant No. 1905 issued the 27th day of November 1783 There is granted by the said commonwealth unto Jacob Harper a certain tract or parcel of land containing forty six acres by survey bearing date the 17th day of March 1791, lying and being in the county of Pendleton on a west branch of the North fork of the South branch of Potowmack oppo- site the roaring spring between a former survey of his and Cornelius Thompsons land and bounded as followeth to wit; Beginning at a large white oak on a hill side and running thence N 22 degrees E 112 poles croping a branch to thru lynns on the bank S 88 degrees W 97 poles croping said branch and up a steep hill to two lynns on a hill side S 80 poles croping a ridge to a white oak and sugar tree by a path S 70 degrees E 62 poles to the beginning with its appurtenances To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to the said Jacob Harper and his heirs forever, In Witness Whereof, The said Robert Brooke, Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond, on the twenty seventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five and of the Commonwealth the 19th.
