Wilson Cary Nicholas, Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia:
To all to whom these presents shall come Greetings:
       Know YE,That in conformity with a survey made on the Thirtieth
day of September, 1810 by Virtue of Land Office Treasury Warrant 
No.4123 issued the 4th day of December, 1804 there is granted by the said
Commonwealth, unto Francis Miller, assignee of John Miller a certain Tract 
or Parcel of Land containing one hundred acres, lying and being on the big
Elk River, a branch of the Kanawha River, in the county of Randolph and 
bounded as followeth, to wit;
       Beginning at a white oak and maple marked J.M. on the north bank of 
said river and running thence North twenty two degrees, east sixty poles
to a large white oak,hickory and sour gum north fifty three degrees, West 
forty poles to a beech and poplar on the side of the mountain, West 
twenty eight poles to a maple;South fifty five degrees, West sixty poles to 
a white oak, south seventeen degrees West thirty poles to two beeches; 
South twenty seven degrees west,forty six poles to a beech, red oak, and 
dogwood, south two degrees West twenty nine poles crossing the river, to a 
maple on the south bank thereof,then down the river, seventy five degrees 
west, forty eight poles to a beech;south twenty five degrees east forty poles 
to a sugar tree on the side of the mountain; north sixty four degrees east
eighty six poles to a small beech;North forty degrees east forty four poles
to a sugar tree, south seventy two degrees east eighteen poles to a hickory
and beech near a lick; and thence north twenty degrees east fifty eight poles
crossing the river to the beginning with its appurtenances.
       TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with its 
appurtenances, to the said Francis C. Miller and his heirs forever.
      In witness whereof the said, Wilson Cary Nicholas, Esquire, Governor of
the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the 
Lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond, on the
20th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
