Peter LYON - GE & Perry MOORE -(SOURCE> GO Deed Book 8, Page 515 Roane 
County, WV):
Perry MOORE and wife To Peter LYON Deed}  This deed made this 7 day of 
September AD 1877. between Perry MOORE and Sarah A. MOORE his wife of the 
County of (Roane crossed out) Jackson + State of West Virginia of the first 
part and Peter LYON, of Roane County West Virginia of the second part 
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration 
of the Sum of nine hundred and forty seven dollars and forty cents ($947.40). 
six hundred and eighty dollars paid. The receipt of which is hereby 
acknowledged, the balance to be paid in two years with interest. Bargained 
and sold and do grant unto the party of second part, a tract of land in Roane 
County WVa. Described and bounded as follows Beginning at a stake, corner to 
Jas W. MITCHELL thence S89 E89 1/2 poles to stake and pointers, thence W2 
W236 poles to stake and pointers. Thence N89 W89 1/2 poles to corner of 
Thomas MITCHELLS, thence S2 E236 poles to the place of beginning. Containing 
132 acres, being part of a tract of land bought of C.C. (?) SMITH and others, 
and the said parties of the first part do covenant with the second part that 
they will warrant generally the property hereby conveyed, reserving a venders 
lien for the balance of the purchase money. Witness the following Signatures

The State of West Va Jackson County} SS: I George J. WALKER a notary Public 
in and for the said County, do certify that Perry MOORE whose name is signed 
to the writing above bearing the date on the 7 day of September 1877 has this 
day acknowledged the same before me in my said County. Given under my hand 
this 8 day of September 1877        Geo. J WALKER N.P.
The State of West Va Jackson County} SS: 
I certify that Sarah A. MOORE wife of Perry MOORE whose name is signed to the 
writing above bearing date on the 7 September 1877 personally appeared before 
me in the County aforesaid and being examined by me privily and apart from 
her husband and having the said writings fully explained to her, the said 
S.A. MOORE acknowledged the said writing to be her act and deed and declared 
that she had willingly executed the same and does not wish to retract it.

This day the foregoing deed with certificate of acknowledgement annexed 
thereto was this day duly admitted to record in my said office   Attest    CC
