ROACH CEMETERY, Summers Co., WV Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives July 21, 2002 by Vicki L. Mills-Wykle and Robert L. Wykle DIRECTIONS: Turn up Elk Knob Rd. (Main Street) in Hinton-Summers Co. WV go about 8 miles to end of two land rd. You will be in a 4-way intersection. Make a right onto Judson Rd. Go about 2-6/10 mile to Bal Noble Rd. There is an old building standing at the side of this road on the right and railroad ties laid out to keep people off the grass. Turn right onto Bal Noble Rd and go approx. 1-1/10 mile. There is no sign that tells you where to find the road that goes into this cemetery. There is a double wide home that sets on the left side of the road directly across from the road that is on the right. Go about 3/10 of a mile out this road and cemetery is on the left at the beginning of a large hay field. The road is rough in a couple of places but we got a Mercury Tracer in there with no problem. Make sure it is dry when you go or you may need a 4-wheel drive. There are a couple of gates that you may have to open if Mr Meadows has his cows in there so make sure that you close them going in and coming out. This survey was done on June 2, 2002 by Vicki L.
