Ward Family Cemetery - Summers Co. WV

This Cemetery is located just a little past Hix, W.Va.
on top of a mountain, surrounded by trees, it is across 
the road from the old Jess Burdette homeplace. The Cemetery runs north
to south graves one to ten on the west side and graves eleven to
fifteen on the east.

1. Felia Ward Aug. 11, 1895 Sept. 23, 1972 this is a double stone
2. Mathew Ward May 21, 1888 Dec. 4, 1940
3. Joseph B. Wood  Feb. 8, 1877 May 3, 1951 this is a double stone
4. Mary S. Wood April 27, 1884 July 18, 1951
5. Sarah Jones                     Sarah Ann Miller is the daugh. of
   Born  Nov 24, 1860              Issac and Cythia Miller, she is 
   Died July 1, 1921               the first wife of Ballard Ward.
   Age 60 years 7 months 7 days        
6. Fieldstone markings are worn unreadable
7. Pearl Ward             Pearl Wykle
8. (baby) Jakie Lee April 30, 195?
9. Space poss a grave
10. Wilbur Harrison Ward       double stone 
    1893-1977                   I find two stones for Wilbur Ward
                                one at Hix and one in the Harrah Cem
                                on Bacus Mountain.
11. Vadie S 1891-1964                Vada S. Ghraham
12. Fieldstone
13. Ida Ward
There is a space between here and the next graves.
