Ayres [signed], Clerk DEED BOOK T; PAGE 263 This deed, made this 27th of September 1898 between William L. Stickler and Delphia J. Stickler his wife of the County of Summers, West Virginia of the first part and E.A. Gwinn wife of A.L.M. Gwinn of the County of Summers of the second part: Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part, for and on consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Dollars to them in hand paid the receipt - whereof is hereby acknowledged, and in further consideration of the sum of One Thousand Dollars, for which the party of the second part has executed his ten bonds, of One Hundred Dollars each said bonds due are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10 years, and in further consideration of the said party of the second part agreeing and bind - herself her heirs and assigns to funn_[?] Mi__[?] Ruth Stickler and her sister Mi__[?] Elisabeth Dequasie a good and sufficient maintenance during their life times said maintenance to consist of house room food clothing and burial expences. Do grant bargain sell and convey unto the party of the second part a certain tract of land lying on waters of Lick Creek and Meadow Creek in Green Sulphur District in Summers County West Virginia, adjoining the lands of B. Gwinn, James Gwinn, Andrew Gwinn Hix and others and being the same on which Cornelius Stickler resided at the time of his death and willed by said Stickler to his son Wm. L. Stickler, containing 360 acres more or less for the meets and boundaries of said land reference is hereby made to pattern and the original deeds to same. The party of the first part in consideration of the aforesaid sums do grant bargain, sell and convey unto the party of the second part all the growing crops on said land together with all his personal property thereon, and the said parties of the first part do hereby convenant wish the party of the second part that they will warrant generally the property hereby conveyed; and we do hereby reserve a lien upon the same for the unpaid purchase money and other conditions mentioned in said deed. Gwinn, a N.P. of the said County of Summers do certify that William L. and Delphia J. Stickler his wife whose names are signed to the writing above bearing date the 27th day of September, 1898 have this day acknowledged the same before me in my said County.
