Will of Mordica [Mordecia] Roles, c1873 - Summers Co. WV In the Name of God, I Mordica [Mordecia] Roles of the county of Summers and state of West Virginia being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. That is to say, first, after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, the residue of my estate, I give, bequeath and dispose of as follows to wit: to my beloved wife the whole of my personal property, or the proceeds of the same, the property is to be sold and the proceeds given to her in cash. I also give to her one note or bond which I hold upon my son, Henry C. Roles for the sum of $100.00, said note bears date Aug. 18, 1871, also one note bearing date with the above for the sum of $20.00. To my daughter Clara $31.00, to my daughter $31.00; and to my daughter Emily $20.00 and then if there be a sufficient amount left after the above distribution I give to each one of my 6 daughters the sum of $100 each and if there should be any sum left over and above the 600.00 last mentioned, I give said over plus whatever it may be to my wife. I hereby revoke all former wills made by me and declare this to be my last will and testament. Witnesses: Robert W. Saunders Henry C.
